CMNs for Oxygen, Pneumatic Compression Devices, Osteogenesis Stimulators, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator (TENS), Seat Lift Mechanisms, External Infusion Pumps, Enteral and Parenteral nutrition, and also form Section C Continuation Form have an expiration date of 02/2020. The CMS ABN form (CMS-R-131) also has a looming expiration date of 03/2020.
The MACs have notified CMS of these expiration dates and are waiting for further direction or updated forms. Until new forms have been published, it has been advised to continue using the current CMS and ABN forms. The MACs have confirmed that they will not reject or deny a claim based on the form expiration date.
