On Thursday, September 29, 2022, CMS formally announced the transition from the National Supplier Clearinghouse (NSC) to two new National Provider Enrollment Contractors (NPEC). 

November 6, 2022, is the last day that the National Supplier Clearinghouse (NSC) will process Medicare enrollment applications for DMEPOS suppliers.

Starting November 7, 2022, 2 new contractors will process Medicare enrollment applications for DMEPOS suppliers to make sure they meet all supplier standards and enrollment requirements:

Novitas Solutions: Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands

Palmetto GBA: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands


DMEPOS Suppliers do not need to do anything. Continue to work with the NSC for all enrollment issues through November 6.
